The Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA) is for promoting more active interactions of researchers, scientists, and industry professionals who are working in the Neural Network and related fields in the Asia Pacific region.
Currently, APNNA has Governing Board Members in 13 regions–Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Qatar, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Turkey. APNNA seeks more active participation from researchers and professionals in other regions in the Asia Pacific area.
Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA), was founded in 1993, after IJCNN'93 Nagoya, under the leadership of Professor Shunichi Amari. The governing board is made up of members from the Asia Pacific region. The annual conference is the International Conference of Neural Information Processing (ICONIP). The first ICONIP'94 conference was held in Seoul, Korea. Subsequent conferences were held in China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Turkey, India, Taipei, Thailand, etc. Over the years, these conferences have gathered thousands of researchers, scientists, and professionals who are working in the neural network and related fields together.
The APNNA collaborates with other organizations and conferences to promote academic and technical activities within its scope of interests. For example, APNNA endorses Technical Sponsorship with other conferences. APNNA also jointly organize conferences with other organizations. To learn more about ways to collaborate with APNNA, please contact the President of APNNA, firstname.lastname@example.org or the Vice-President, Prof. Irwin King at email@example.com for more information.
The ICONIP conferences publish proceedings annually. Some are jointly published by Springer Verlag or other publishers. The Neural Information Processing--Letters and Reviews (NIP-LR) is closely associated with the conference. For more information, please refer to the Publications page.
Welcome to the 22nd International Conference on Neural Information Processing (ICONIP2015)! The International Conference on Neural Information Processing (ICONIP) is an annual conference of the Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA). It has become one of the premier international conferences in the area of neural networks since ICONIP94 was held in Seoul, Korea.
ICONIP2015 will be held in Istanbul, Turkey. Istanbul is located in north-western Turkey within the Marmara Region on a total area of 5,343 square kilometers (2,063 sq mi). The Bosphorus, which connects the Sea of Marmara to the Black Sea, divides the city into a European, Thracian side—comprising the historic and economic centers—and an Asian, Anatolian side. The city is further divided by the Golden Horn, a natural harbor bounding the peninsula where the former Byzantium and Constantinople were founded. The confluence of the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus, and the Golden Horn at the heart of present-day Istanbul has deterred attacking forces for thousands of years and still remains a prominent feature of the city's landscape. Istanbul was named a European Capital of Culture, making the city the world's fifth-most-popular tourist destination. The city's biggest draw remains its historic center, partially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but its cultural and entertainment hub can be found across the city's natural harbor, the Golden Horn, in the Beyoğlu district. Considered a global city, Istanbul is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan economies in the world.
Beyond the value of this conference to Turkey-based scholars, our meeting will be an opportunity to exchange ideas and for discussions with distinguished scholars coming from all over the world. This conference will feature invited plenary talks by world-renowned scholars in the areas of neural network theory and applications, computational neuroscience and others. In addition to regular technical sessions with oral and poster presentations, the conference program will include special sessions and tutorials on topics of current interest.
We look forward to welcome you to Istanbul in November 2015.
The 21st International Conference on Neural Information Processing (ICONIP 2014), an annual conference of the Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA) will be held in the beautiful city of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia from 3 - 6 November 2014. The theme of this conference is “The Next Renaissance of Neural Information Processing”.
ICONIP 2014 will provide a high-level international forum for scientists, engineers, educators, and students to address new challenges, share solutions, and discuss future research directions in neural information processing and real-world applications.
The proceedings of ICONIP 2014 will be published by Springer in its series of Lecture Notes in Computer Science. Note that authors of selected papers will be invited to extend their work and to submit their manuscript for review and possible publication in the said journals/book volume:
